Town
Tolmin, a small town of 4000 people, lies at the confluence of rivers Soča and Tolminka and at the southern brink of Triglav national park. It was always administrative center of upper Posočje region.

 

Trips
Surroundings of Tolmin offer many trips to the intact nature. Trekking on nerby hills and plains and hiking in the mountains (Julian Alps), the mountain villages Čadrg and Tolminske Ravne and a trip to Bohinj with auto-train.

 

Food and drink
Tolmin region is renowned for its alpine cheese and curd, made in nerby villages. Among the sweet dishes are the famous potica and curd pie, while there is also rich offer at local inns.

 

Sports and recreation
The valley of Tolmin is an excellent choice for active vacation. Clear rivers are attractive for their watersport and fishing potential, forrest paths offer excitement to mountain-bikers, while the basin is exceptional for paragliding.

 

Events
